Forbes PA and H Association secretary Jan Facey was very pleased with this year’s show.
“All in all it was a really terrific show … we’ve had some very positive feedback from people, everyone enjoyed it,” she said.
“The weather was great, we were really lucky.”
New membership numbers were up this year with a record 91 new members, which Ms Facey said was very good.
Lots of pavilion entries were also up including the fruit and veggie section, cooking, wool and flower sections.
The commercial exhibit indoor winner was Forbes Museum and the commercial exhibit outdoor winner was Forbes Neighbourhood Watch.
One of the highlights this year was the showjumping competition which had record numbers, which Ms Facey said was spectacular.
A popular attraction was the Royal Flying Doctor Service who had a simulator for people to walk through and were providing free health checks throughout the two days.
“The Royal Flying Doctor Service was well received,” Ms Facey said.
The harness racing and bullride were once again popular, as was the new tractor pull event.
Ms Facey said this year the committee went with a new fireworks company, who were great.
“We were very pleased with the fireworks,” she said.
The PA and H Association committee would like to extend a huge thank you to all the stewards, helpers and most of all the sponsors.
“Without sponsorship from the community we couldn’t put a show on, so it’s very important,” Ms Facey said.
